DIGNITOS is presented by german charity organisation Dignitos gUG.
More than 3 billion people live on less than $2.50 a day. 1.5 billion people suffer from poverty despite having a regular job. 805 million people worldwide do not have enough food to eat.
People profiting from DIGNITOS come from the daily neighbourhood. People who currently suffer due to a financial crisis.
DIGNITOS connects helpful people with those in need and creates real solidarity, because an invitation for a meal not only gives food, but also social closeness.
DIGNITOS brings meals without the feeling of shame on the tables of normal restaurants.
At DIGNITOS donations don´t go in a general, large pot, but end as Dignits directly in restaurants. Catering businesses qualify by online registration and will be coached and controlled by local Dignitos teams.
How DIGNITOS works:
- Person A donates an amount for a meal.
- With simple dropdowns the amount can be given to a special restaurant, a city or a country.
- Registrated users can directly donate without entering personal data.
- National currencies will be transformed into dignits. 1 Euro = 1 Dignit.
- Person B redeems the dignits at registrated restaurants.
- Daily 1 meal and 1 drink.
- Catering businesses registrate for free on the website www.dignitos.com. Qualification is their business licence.
- Similar due credit card payments, restaurants send a monthly bill to Dignitos and get their money for the outgiven dignits. Dignitos takes 9.99% for the accountancy.

DIGNITOS comes from the latin word "dignitas" which means dignity, respect and honour.
DIGNITOS is dignity for donator, recipient and restaurant.
DIGNITOS is independent and was privately founded and financed by 3 siblings from Neustadt a. d. Waldnaab in Germany with the exclusive goal to give helpful people a simple tool to help others.
